Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, June 30 – The SSVM Institutions was privileged to welcome India’s first woman IPS officer, Dr Kiran Bedi, also a former Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry. The luminous personality who has inspired many generations was here to inspirit and embolden the learners in the path of leadership. She made a visit to meet the most cheerful community at Ruh Early Years ( an SSVM Initiative) at Race Course, Coimbatore and then to interact with the dynamic youth community at SSVM World School, Singanallur. Ms Sangeetha, Chairperson of FICCI Flo Coimbatore also accompanied her during the visit.
The Former Lieutenant Governor emphasized humanity, how one’s action can promote self-growth and the power of collective growth in building a successful nation. The change-maker advised that one should always remain patriotic, stay socially responsible, and be ethical in all situations. The woman of integrity shared many wonderful experiences from her life and the book ‘Fearless Governance’.
The phenomenal visit inspired all learners and educators at SSVM and the school is privileged and honoured by Dr Kiran Bedi’s visit. She also appreciated the SSVM school management for the innovative initiatives it takes to empower the future generation. The Founder and Managing Trustee, Dr Manimekalai Mohan and Secretary, Mr Mohandoss were also resolute in affirming the importance of time, humanity, action and leadership through transformational learning.
